Sound Branding Story ー New York Textile Month (USA)

Memorable branding story are defined by the groove of their experience. LISTEN (96khz 24bit) >>> CONCEPT —Craft, memory, and the rhythm of time Sound reaches the brain in just 0.1 seconds, responding faster than vision. If visual logos imprint the eye, groove is the logo of the body—a rhythm the mind continues even after the music stops. For this project, we were invited to create a sonic identity for an event celebrating Kurume Kasuri, Japan’s historic double-ikat textile tradition. Our goal was to express heritage and contemporary youth culture woven into one—the timeless and the modern meeting through sound. APPROACH — Weaving loom rhythms into a contemporary groove For the piece “Woven by Fate”, we transformed the craft itself into music Recorded the sounds of century-old Kurume Kasuri looms Used the loom rhythms as living percussive elements Built a groove inspired by House and Lo-fi—styles familiar to a younger generation Added a gentle piano...

Art Performance Music for Edinburgh Festival (ENGLAND)— Japanese Elegance × Global Rhythm

The piece needed to amplify the expressiveness of her improvisational performance while presenting a distinctly Japanese identity to an international audience. CONCEPT — Eastern elegance reimagined through rhythm The composition blends: koto and traditional Japanese melodic phrasing taiko-inspired low-frequency pulses ornamental, shimmering textures expressing Eastern beauty Eastern European–influenced odd meters to add modern tension and forward motion The aim was to merge Japanese elegance with global rhythmic architecture, creating a sound that feels both ancient and contemporary.
