[EVENT] Recap: Sound Branding, Japan 2025

On Sunday, July 20, 2025, sound producer Ikuyi Minat held her first-ever talk event in Japan — “Sound & Vision: A Time to Connect Through the Senses” — at the exclusive invitation-only lounge inside Shinsaibashi PARCO, Osaka.

Speaking publicly in Japan for the first time, Ikuyi unveiled her philosophy of sound design and the practice of Sound Branding she has developed across global stages. The evening explored the architecture of “sonic atmosphere” — how subtle shifts in rhythm, overtone, and spatial vibration shape an entire sensory environment — alongside behind-the-scenes insight into her work at Shinsaibashi PARCO and at New York Textile Month 2024.

Within the hushed luxury of the private lounge, guests absorbed Ikuyi’s music and ideas firsthand. Facilitated by moderator Junko Shichi, the evening culminated in a Sound Work — a quiet, guided practice of listening inward, meeting one’s own rhythm without comparison. The room held a rare quality: still, yet charged.
