ONTSUBU LLC (Virginia, USA) announces that its founder, Miyuki Tani, who records under the artist name Ikuyi Minat, has been admitted as a 2026 member of the Recording Academy, the organization behind the GRAMMY Awards. Tani joins through the Producers & Engineers Wing, the Academy’s body for professionals working on the technical craft of recorded music.
Membership carries voting rights in the selection process for the 69th GRAMMY Awards, scheduled for [February 7, 2027].
Writing Down What Was Never Written Down
ONTSUBU LLC works at the intersection of music production and acoustic research. Its four active lines of work are the ONTSUBU Groove Method, a music education framework moving toward international licensing; Otokaeri, a sound wellness program; sound development for medical and healthcare applications; and Rhythm Studies, an effort to establish rhythm as a formal academic discipline.
